CAMPUSonline is an ever-changing system and just like your university, it evolves over time to adjust to changing needs.

Our training courses help you to stay up-to-date and allow you to get to know our software with the guiding hand of our experts. We will show you the latest developments and new functions in all areas of university management in order to make your work with CAMPUSonline as effortless as possible. In doing so, we take the latest software development know-how and turn it into user-friendly learning objectives. Training courses facilitated by the CAMPUSonline training team run over one to two days and are held in small groups. In these settings, our training team can fully engage with all participants and answer their questions. Our varied training course schedule consists of the following areas:

Campus management

These training courses are mainly aimed at end users of CAMPUSonline and provide a solid base for the efficient use of its central functionalities. You will learn how to use the necessary tools with confidence and we will provide you with tips to help you respond to the most common student requests concerning the campus management system. In order to accompany students throughout the student life cycle in the best possible way, CAMPUSonline continues to evolve. This training course will keep you up-to-date with the latest developments: You will gain insights into the new user interfaces for students in CAMPUSonline 3.0 and get to know the new CO desktop with the most important applications.

How to manage departments efficiently with CAMPUSonline – Overview for office managers

In this training course, you will learn about the most important standard processes that will allow you to manage courses efficiently. You will learn more about user management and how to manage rooms and calendars. Useful tips regarding the most common student requests will give you additional confidence when working with CAMPUSonline.

Manage rights and resources – The most important concepts for designated CO administrators

In this training course, you will gain the necessary know-how for your role as the go-to person when it comes to CAMPUSonline at your department. You will learn how to successfully work with the user management tool and you will find out more about rights, rooms and resources, as well as the assignment of functions.

Core competences in Curricula management – How to set up study and examination regulations

This training course teaches you how to use the curricula management tool in the most efficient way and to map complex study and examination regulations. You will learn how to set up the basic structure of the curriculum, work with module templates and map prerequisites using rules. Additionally, you will look in detail at how to calculate grades, ECTS credits and diplomas.

Software development

Due to its open architecture and numerous interfaces, CAMPUSonline can also be extended by our cooperation partners themselves. Our training courses offer the know-how required to do so. Both our continuous support for developers at your university and the know-how obtained in these courses, are the basis for successful further development of the software. Therefore, we focus on teaching you the current technologies and pass on targeted practical knowledge.

Theming customisation - Customise CAMPUSonline 3.0 in accordance with your corporate design

CAMPUSonline 3.0 offers a wide variety of possibilities for customising your design. In this training course you will learn the basics of theming and how to customise elements such as logos, icons and colours using CSS variables in accordance with the corporate design of your university. Find out more about the deployment of your theme as well as extended SCSS customisation. As part of the course, you can also create theming variants on one of your (review) systems.

Introduction to the Extensible Stylesheet Language (XSL)

In order to create PDF documents using the new XSL based technology, you will need to know more about the following technologies: XSL Formatting Objects (XSL-FO), XSL Transformation (XSLT), XPath and XQuery as well as XML Namespaces. This training course will teach you the basics of XSL-FO and XSLT 2.0 based on the XSLT processor Saxon HE.

Introduction to XML and its applications

Several technologies in CAMPUSonline are based on XML and XML applications. One of these is the new technology that allows you to create PDF documents. This training course will teach you the most important basic skills concerning this application.

How to create PDFs in CAMPUSonline – document templates and data sources for Apache FOP

In this training course you will learn more about the basic structure of a CAMPUSonline XML data source, how to create and configurate data sources for Apache FOP and how to work with XSL templates.
